Following the Game 4 win over the Nuggets, LeBron James pointed out that he may have to wear a wig during a call with his wife Savannah. Well before that, in the post-game presser, the NBA’s record point scorer did appear in a new avatar, but instead of a wig, it was a white hat that belonged to his wife according to her stylist Melani Boppel.

Speaking to reporters LeBron James was elated. After all, the Lakers halted their 11-game losing streak against the Nuggets and kept the series alive. During the press conference what caught the attention of those watching was his fashionable hat.

But it now seems like that fashionable choice wasn’t his at first. Rather, it is his wife who owns the “walking” hat. And nobody would have probably paid heed to it until Boppel, brought it to everyone’s notice.

Melani was quick to take it to her IG handle and tag both LeBron and Savannah James in her stories, writing “Not @kingjames wearing @mrs_savannahrj walking hat. I’m weak, y’all are hilarious”. Apart from Savannah, Boppel has worked with quite a few athletes and their wives including, NFL QB Jalen Hurts and his girlfriend Bry Rivera, Julian Randle and Kendra Shaw, and MLB star Freddie and his wife Chelsea Freeman. Looking at the hilarity of Boppel’s post, LeBron was quick to respond.

He shared the post on his Instagram stories with a bunch of laughing emojis. Later during a call with Savannah, who is starting her new podcast, the Lakers star asked her, “Why can’t I see my hairline?” His wife responded saying, “I don’t know about that.”

This led LeBron James to quip, “I might have to put on a wig.” Wig or hat, he once again showed why he wears NBA’s crown at the Crytpo.com Arena against the defending champions. King James scored 30 points, five rebounds, and four assists in 39 minutes of play as the Lakers prevailed 119-108 and avoided a second straight sweep at the hands of the Nuggets. But they still face a tall order with NBA history against them.

No team has won a playoff series after being down 0-3, with the current record standing at 0-149. Even though Lakers and James have made it 1-3, it will take a monumental effort from them to turn this around. Meanwhile, James’ interesting fashion choice is sure to grab some eyeballs.

So, maybe in game 5, Bron will grab another fashion accessory from Savannah’s closet? Who knows! And who wouldn’t when their wife is effortlessly stylish? She doesn’t play around when it comes to fashion and her personal style. James’ family matriarch sure loves to flex her uber-chic looks time and again, and fans love to see her shine out seamlessly, with her hairstyles and outfits.

Apart from being an NBA megastar’s wife and family matriarch, Savannah is a fashion queen, quite literally. Her participation in commercials like Beats by Dr Dre, to Lobos Tequila (LeBron James’ tequila brand), and her own business ventures like Home Court and a juicery speak volumes about the boss woman she is. A private person, Savannah speaks through her clothes.

For instance, for an intimate family dinner, she chose to wear a Prada bucket hat, styled with a brown handbag with an additional pouch, Travis Scott’s “Reverse Mocha” Air Jordans, BAPE’s tie-dye jacket, and a distressed pair of denims by The Attico. The earthen look tied together with a brown t-shirt inside, gave us a new definition to family dinners.
