Lebron James was awarded the MVP of the Paris Olympics 2024 after team USA bagged the gold in the tournament beating France in the finals yesterday. To be almost 40 and still winning MVPs? crazy, right? By averaging over 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the Olympic series, James had a top performance in the tournament.

Although winning Olympic medals or MVP awards is nothing new for the King, he became emotional after Team USA’s dominant run in the Olympics. James revealed that the motivation behind his ability to perform at the highest level is his family, especially his wife Savannah.

“It means everything. It’s why I do it. I do it for my family,” James said after the American men defeated France 98-87 to win the gold medal on Saturday night. “My wife takes care of the business, man. She’s the best. Without her, I wouldn’t even be in this position to be able to do what I do and love the game. I love it. So, to have my wife and my two boys and my daughter here and the rest of my family here, it was everything,”James said during his emotional tribute at the Paris Olympics. Following LeBron’s words, it’s clear who the real face behind his billion-dollar business is: Savannah James.

Being there for her high school sweetheart every step of the way, Savannah has become a crucial part of LeBron’s success both on and off the court. The duo has always found support in one another during tough times, and LeBron recalls how Savannah was always by his side even before a single spotlight or camera was on him.

Throughout the years, the couple has had many business endeavors together, though not every single one became a success story. However, as LeBron became more powerful, both as an athlete and as a cultural icon, the duo’s off-court earnings soared. With incredibly successful investments and companies LeBron founded, like SpringHill, James has become a billionaire, according to Forbes.

Even though becoming a billionaire might have been special for LeBron and his soulmate, it seems the couple is even more proud of their charity work, which was made possible by their success in business.

In 2017, Savannah launched Akron-Women of Our Future, a mentorship program designed to help high school girls. Through the LeBron James Family Foundation, the couple continues to support the youth. Another major initiative is the I PROMISE School, which was established in 2018 as a key part of their efforts.

Just a few months before I PROMISE welcomed its first students, Savannah James, in an interview with Volk magazine, described the motivation behind the establishment for her and her husband. “Just be a constant source of encouragement. That’s what LeBron talks about-Never give up!” Savannah said.
