LeBron James’ $12 Million Worth Former Rival, Who Once Blew in His Ear, Describes Famous Incident: “I Brought the New York Out”

Over the years, many NBA players have claimed that they could get the best of LeBron James. However, history has it that it’s the King who usually comes out on top. James has had his fair share of rivals and foes over the 20 years in the league. And he has managed to beat almost all of them.

But there was one LeBron James rival who managed to unsettle the King’s fandom. This former nemesis who once blew air in Bron’s ear readdresses the incident.

Who was this former rival of LeBron James?

This $12 million worth ex-rival is none other than Lance Stephenson. Stephenson played 10 seasons in the league with eight different teams. But two of his most memorable times on the court were with the Indiana Pacers and then the Los Angeles Lakers.

During his initial days with the Pacers, Stephenson was guarding LeBron when he blew air in his ear. Recently, the former 6’6 guard addressed that incident once more when he was asked if he could manage to get under LeBron James’ skin.

Stephenson said, “You trying to win the championship, playing hard, playing against one of the greatest players to ever play basketball. So, I brought it all, I brought the New York out and just tried my best to stop him.”

Stephenson went on to add, “And so, we won that game and that’s all the matters.” But that wasn’t enough to contain LeBron James and the Miami Heat as they went on to knock Stephenson and the Pacers out of the playoffs.

Stephenson’s stint in the NBA

The incident between LeBron James and Lance Stephenson became a sensational internet meme overnight. And it went on to be relevant for years to come. Until Stephenson joined forces with James in Los Angeles.

At first, there was doubt among fans and analysts whether LeBron James would want to share the court with Lance Stephenson. But eventually, the two worked out their differences and played one season together.

Since then, Stephenson played overseas for a couple of years before making one final run in the NBA. Lance came back to sign a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks and then the Pacers. Since then, Stephenson has not been able to make another comeback in the league.
