At 38, LeBron James is all set to enter his 20th season in the NBA. After missing out on the playoffs in the 2021-22 season, it looked like the James and Los Angeles Lakers would once again miss it last season. However, the Lakers finished the regular season strong and made a deep run in the playoffs as well. As the new season is on the horizon, the front office has already made an addition to the squad in the form of Christian Wood. Christian Wood joins LeBron James and the Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are the most successful team in the NBA alongside the Boston Celtics. Furthermore, LA is one of the most desired destinations as well. Add LeBron James to the mix and the Lakers are a prime franchise for free agents and Christian Wood was no different.
According to ESPN, free agent Wood signed a two-year, $5.7 million deal with the Lakers that includes a player option for the 2024-25 season. After the move, Woods took to social media to express his elation about joining one of the most popular teams in the world. He revealed that it was a dream move. Woods wrote, “It?s always been my dream to be a laker ??”.

Last year, Wood averaged 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game in 67 games for the Dallas Mavericks as per stats from ESPN. The forward brings much-needed support to the Lakers’ title ambitions.
