Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James recently made headlines after making an appearance during Game 3 of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ matchup against the Boston Celtics. The moment was an extra special one since the player had seldom come out to the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to cheer on the team to whom he had devoted over 11 years of his life. LeBron was seen donning a cap, a gold watch, a denim jacket, and a pair of white pants during the night. While his fashion choice may not seem unusual to many, it soon started gaining some unexpected traction. Eventually, it became a part of a bet for a prominent American Sportscaster.

Former ESPN and NFL Network personality Rich Eisen released another episode of his podcast. During the same, he devoted a significant segment of his show to discussing the schedule for the Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets during the upcoming season of the NFL. Given that the franchise will face the San Francisco 49ers and the Tennessee Titans during the first few games, there was a doubt on whether the Jets could go 2-0. However, if such a miracle occurred, the podcaster clarified that he would go the distance to celebrate the same.

“If the Jets go 2 and 0 to start the season, I will show up on that Monday show with a bottle of Opus One between my legs like I’m LeBron James said Eisen as his co-hosts let out a huge laugh. The show then highlighted a picture of the NBA star from the Cavaliers game, sitting with his legs spread out and a bottle of wine placed right in front of him. The host continued his rant by looking at the picture and stating, “I will show up dressed like this, the entire outfit. With the hat and the shoes…. I will have a bottle of Opus Wine right here. In white pants”.

Eisen’s co-host highlighted how a similar wager had once been made by NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, who had agreed to come to the studio “as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. While Shaq reportedly did not follow through on his promise, Eisen clarified that he would not back out from his word.

Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the Jets won’t face off against the aforementioned teams until September. Till then, people may have forgotten about the LeBron James-White Pants-Opus Wine incident. However, given how adamant Rich Eisen was, one may never know.

LeBron James’ fashion choices do not keep him safe from even his wife, Savannah James

Ever since he became a part of the NBA 21 years ago, LeBron James has created the reputation of being many things. A great basketball player. An acute businessman. That praise has often extended to him being a sharp dresser as well. However, just like Rich Eisen, many people have often taken a shot at the basketball star’s wardrobe choices. Most recently, there was a new entry in that list: LeBron’s wife, Savannah James.

In August 2023, Savannah James took to her official Instagram account to share a video with her followers. It featured LeBron standing in the kitchen, donning a onesie with basketball patterns covering it from head to toe. The player claimed that these were his “night clothes.” After letting out a laugh over the outfit, his wife proceeded to roast her significant half by stating, “You look like you’re about to bounce up out of here.” To his credit, the player was quick to reply back by stating Im’ma bounce my a** in that bed”.
