The Milwaukee Bucks and their fans are ecstatic after landing Damian Lillard to their team. The new duo of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo is surely going to be a nightmare for defenses on a nightly basis. But it’s just the Bucks as the Boston Celtics rejoice in trading for Jrue Holiday for the starting point guard position.

Jayson Tatum and the rest could not be happier with landing Holiday. However, there is another 25-year-old Celtics star that needs more attention according to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s former teammate.

The Milwaukee Bucks seem to be ready for the new season with their latest addition. But it wasn’t just the Bucks that managed to stack their roster in the Eastern Conference this past offseason.

The Boston Celtics are another team that have become an instant fan favorite to win a championship this upcoming season. The Celtics just landed Jrue Holiday after making a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers.

However, according to Jeff Teague, there is another player that deserves more time and attention on the Celtics squad. And it is none other than the 6’1 Oregon product, Payton Pritchard.

Jeff Teague made an appearance on the 520 Podcast. The conversation took off when the host said how strong the Celtics would be if they added a player like Buddy Heild at the shooting guard position.

At first, Teague emphasized the need for bigmen on the Celtics roster. But then he went on to say, “They need to get my man Payton Pritchard some PT(Playing Time). That little boy can hoop. That little dude, he got game bruh. That little dude can hoop.”

Jeff Teague played 11 seasons in the league with five different teams. He was a one-time All-Star and won an NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in his final season before retiring from the league.

Teague was a 6’3 point guard who was part of a short-lived Atlanta Hawks domination back in 2015. But moreover, he was a solid point guard for most of his career before taking on the role of a backup.

Having played 11 seasons in the league, Teague surely knows a thing or two about players. And his statement about Payton Pritchard is certainly not wrong. Pritchard has shown signs of being a deadly shooter from beyond the arc.

Also, being 6’1, Pritchard does not shy away from contact and driving in the face of tall centers. So, let’s see if the Celtics do decide on giving him more playing time this upcoming season.
