As the Los Angeles Clippers battle out a competing 2nd quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans, Terance Mann was seen heading to the locker room. So far, reasons behind Mann’s exit are yet to surface. However, the absence of the 27-year-old was immediately felt, as the forward was part of the Clippers’ starting five for the game.

Mann’s absence adds to the long list of key misses for the Clippers. They currently harbor a shoulder issue in James Harden. On a different note, James might be getting a much-needed breather, given his numbers after the All Star break. Moreover, Russell Westbrook is yet to return from his hand injury.

As Los Angeles posted consecutive 22-point quarters at the half, Pelicans capitalized on their offensive void, leading 50-44. Luckily, Mann was cleared to play, returning to the action during the third quarter.

As nearly 5 minutes separate both teams from the final stretch, Terance Mann has 6 points and 3 rebounds. The Clippers have narrowed the lead to 3 and anticipate taking control of the momentum in his presence.

Mann is currently in his 5th season with the Clippers, averaging 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Despite low overalls, Mann is a consistent contributor to the squad, making shots above 46% from the floor since his rookie season.

For the Clippers, the last chunk of the season exposes potential sidelining issues. After showcasing their caliber post-November, they have suffered several setbacks amongst their top players. Earlier in March, Westbrook suffered a left-hand fracture in a win. Moreover, in recent games, Kawhi Leonard missed a pivotal game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to thoracic spasms. The game culminated in one of the worst losses for the Clippers this season. While Paul George has maintained his health so far, things seem questionable with James Harden as well.

Is James Harden tired?

It has been a long season for Harden already; the longest he has played in recent times. Having arrived in November through a controversial trade, Harden has played 59 games for LA; his most in the previous 5 seasons.

Moreover, he shoulders massive offensive responsibilities for the team. Even though Harden has proved that he still has everything the fans expect of him, his recent stints can paint a different picture of endurance.

Before the All-Star break, Harden posted 17.5 points, 8.4 assists and 5.1 rebounds. While his post All Star numbers sit close, Harden’s three-point shot has taken a dip, dropping to 33% from an efficient 42%.
