The Los Angeles Lakers vs the Golden State Warriors showdown was one of the most anticipated matches this season, and it certainly lived up to the hype. The match went to double overtime, but the Lakers managed to close the game with a one-point difference of 145-144. However, Steph and Co. made the Purple and Gold make a run for their money. Thanks to LeBron James and Stephen Curry for putting on a sensational show, the game has earned a place in history.
A new milestone was achieved as it was the first time in the history of the league that two opponents who were both 35 age or older scored 35 points in the same game. Even toward the twilight years of their careers, King James and Chef Curry constantly show that they are truly the greatest players of this generation by reaching new heights in the NBA.

Bron, 39, finished the game with a triple-double, making it the 110th of his career. He chipped a career-high 20 rebounds, along with 36 points and 12 rebounds over 48 minutes. Steph, 35, also recorded an incredible performance with 46 points, three rebounds and seven assists over 43 minutes. Defying preconceived notions about age and athletic abilities, Bron and Steph’s incredible performance proves that age is just a number. It was such an intense game that there were many moments where the odds were continually shifting in favor of one team over the other.

The Dub Nation had a strong third quarter that propelled them to an impressive 99-91 lead. By the fourth quarter, Steph struggled to make an impact, going just 2-for-9 from the field and committing two turnovers. However, during the two OTs, he was quickly able to pick up his shooting form again, almost bringing the Warriors to victory.

In the final OT, thanks to Steph’s 3-point shot with 5.9 seconds remaining on the clock, they had a 144-143 lead for a brief moment. This was until Bron made the game-winning free throws, tipping the scales in the Lakers’ favor. Regardless of the outcome, it was undoubtedly one of the best games of the season where two great players once again reminded us of the beauty of basketball.
