The Dallas Mavericks finally have Luka Doncic back in their starting lineup, and it shows. Luka Doncic was in awe of being in the same category as LeBron James

The Dallas Mavericks blew the San Antonio Spurs out of the water, defeating them by a 25-point margin. The Mavericks won the game with a 144-119 final score as the Spurs played without their rookie sensation, Victor Wembanyama.

After the game, Doncic sat down with the media and reporters for a post-game press conference. That is where he was made aware of the milestones he has achieved and the ones he was awfully close to.

One of the reporters told him, “With that assist, gets you within 130-point triple-double with LeBron. What does a milestone like that mean to you with what LeBron means to you?”

That is when Doncic said, “I mean, obviously a lot. We all know who he is, and what he’s doing. He’s in his 21st year in the NBA which is unbelievable. So, it means a lot.”

After his most recent performance, Doncic not only inched closer to LeBron James but was able to surpass James Harden on the list as well. With the way Doncic has been playing, he may set an NBA or at least a franchise record.

Fans get to see some Luka magic

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks had no problems taking care of the San Antonio Spurs in their most recent meeting. The 25-point margin win just goes to show that even without Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks can take care of business.

Given that the Spurs did not have Victor Wembanayama in their lineup, the stat-sheet-stuffing performance put up by Luka Doncic was something to behold. Doncic had 39 points for the game.

He also paired that with 12 rebounds and 10 assists, along with 1 block and 1 steal for the game. Apart from Doncic, six other players finished in double-digits, including the rest of the starters and two players off the bench.

The Spurs are the bottom-dwellers of the Western Conference right now. So, let’s see if the Mavericks can keep the same energy in their next game against the Phoenix Suns.
