Kyrie will play tonight

Good news for the fans, it has been confirmed by The Athletic‘s Shams Charania through a post on X that Kyrie will be playing tonight against the Nuggets.?Kyrie missed two regular season games so far due to a left foot sprain that left fans uncertain about his return. But it looks like he is up and ready to hit the court again with the team.

Kyrie also had a groin injury during the preseason that made him miss two preseason games. Apart from Kryie, Mavericks’ forward Maxi Kleber will miss the game due to a toe injury that he sustained during Wednesday’s game against the Bulls. Despite having Kyrie back on the team, the Mavericks will be heading off to the game without a very important team component, Head Coach Jason Kidd.

It has been reported by the Dallas Morning News‘ Brad Townsend that Coach Kidd is dealing with a non-COVID illness, which will require him to stay home for the time being. In the meantime, Assistant Coach Sean Sweeney will take over temporarily and lead the team into the pregame shootarounds and warm-ups.
