The name Nikki Sapp is no stranger to NBA fans; she is the recently divorced ex-wife of longtime Miami Heat coach, Erik Spoelstra. However, apart from Coach Spo, Nikki also had a personal association with the team. When she was 18, Nikki started cheerleading for the Heat while still a student at Florida International University. As life went on, and kids came into the picture, it looked like she had outgrown her love for dancing.

Nikki only stopped talking about dance

The post is a video of Nikki busting some moves, proving that she’s still got it. It also shows snippets of her flaunting her beautiful jewelry and her Jordan kicks. The former Heat dancer shared this with a long caption addressing her love for dancing. Nikki talked about how people had the notion that she stopped dancing, while she never did. The only difference was, she stopped talking about it. “The truth is, even though I stopped dancing for the HEAT (the when or why isn’t important 😘), I continued to dance professionally though my mid twenties with several Latinx artists when they came to town for various awards shows,” she wrote.

Also in the caption, Nikki explains that she continued teaching dance to middle schoolers until she gave birth to her first child with Erik Spo. In a heartwarming gesture, she also admits that she tries to learn TikTok dances from the internet. “I still try to take dance classes and I still try to learn the TikTok dances (even if I look like an old lady lol) because…. I. LOVE. DANCE.” Despite navigating through a divorce, it is beautiful to see that Nikki hasn’t lost touch with her first love, which is dancing. She has also promised to continue exhibiting this passion of hers to her fans, as always.
