Every now and then, fans and experts bring in new analogies to the never ending GOAT debate between LeBron James and Michael Jordan. On the other hand, some fans gear up with their responses to break the analogy and defend their idols. In that line up, former NBA Champion came up with a response on live TV to break King James’ best friend’s latest analogy on the GOAT debate.

Importantly, some basketball fans find the comparison between both superstars as unfair. They often claimed that the Chicago Bulls legend played against one of the best ballers, like Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, and many more. Whereas on the other side, some fans defended James, claiming that he played against some of the modern greats. In that lineup, the star sports agent Rich Paul chimed in an uncanny analogy to call the comparison unfair.

Rich Paul and LeBron James‘s friendship is more than 20 years old. Naturally, Paul would take the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s side. Additionally, to top it all, he even considered the GOAT debate unfair. Featuring in the latest episode of Gil’s Arena, he said, “Bron’s antlers is in platinum and Michael’s may be in gold… He had to be compared to Mike, who do Mike had to be compared to?” While the panelists in the show seemed to have agreed to Paul, James’ former teammate, Kendrick Perkins didn’t agree to it.

He reflected on Rich Paul’s take in the recent episode of NBA Today on ESPN. He said, “I disagree with him to this aspect. If LeBron James has platinum antlers, then Jordan has antlers.” The former champion disagreed to call the comparison unfair. He further said that both legends sit at the same dinner table but might order a different dish.

Moreover, he also added, “We can debate all day long about who is the greatest.” Importantly, at the end of the statement, he sided with LeBron James as the GOAT.

On the other hand, Charles Barkley recently pitched in a new analogy to the GOAT debate.

Charles Barkley’s take on the GOAT debate

Speaking of longevity, LeBron James holds the upper hand in the debate. The superstar has reached the 20th season of his career and still seemed to be at the top of his game. In response to the longevity aspect, Barkley said, “Michael Jordan stayed in college for three years.” Whereas, James joined the league even before completing the college. Even if it is a matter of two or three years, it makes a huge difference in the league.
