The Cuban baseball star Adolis Garcia indirectly brought the NBA season opener to a standstill with his World Series performance. The night before the NBA opening game between the Nuggets and Lakers, Garcia created terror in the World Series Game 7 between the Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks.

While the fans were expected to anticipate the much-awaited NBA season opener, the Texan outfielder turned the sports world’s attention to his side with a 4-for-5 with two home runs and five runs driven in, helping his team seal an 11-4 victory. A month after the special day in the Rangers’ franchise history, Garcia met one of his team’s loyal fans, Luka Doncic.

Ahead of the Mavs’ In-season Tournament game against the Houston Rockets, both sporting greats linked up in the arena. Moreover, they swapped their jerseys and posed with them for the media.

Immediately, the star’s new teammate Grant Williams asked him, “Since when did you start watching baseball?” The Slovenian star politely replied, “Lots of years ago.”
