The Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly (ESPY) Award comes with a lot of fanfare. They are akin to what grammies are for music and Oscars for movies. Thus, the assortment of celebrities makes for an enthralling viewing. In such a scenario, we see athletes flaunt their wealth.

This flashing of wealth is in itself a spectacle, and the red carpet of the event turns into an elite affair. In the middle of such an affair, one of Stephen Curry’s teammates outshone some of the biggest names from other sports but burned an extravagant $42,200 in the process.

A luxury watch falls under such an ambit and during the ESPY red carpet event, a bunch of athletes didn’t shy away from showcasing their wristwatches.

PGA stalwart Michael Block proudly wore an Omega Seamaster that he acquired during his 2014 National Championship Win, calling it “endearing” to him. The silver-colored beauty has adorned his hand many times. The watch is in the  $5000-$6000 range.

Meanwhile, MMA welterweight champion Leon Edwards was proud of his Rolex GMT Master-II, which had a lovely root beer color. It costs around a whopping $40,000. He loved the combination with his dashing blazer.

Meanwhile, Curry’s teammate Jonathan Kuminga looked sharp in a multi-colored blazer. His Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch matched the blazer brilliantly. A hefty price tag of $42,200 sums up the appeal of this wristwatch. The Forward glowingly stated, “It’s a watch that you can wear anytime, any day, no matter the moment”. The relatively younger star looked like he belonged to the radiant Red Carpet of the show.

Jonathan Kuminga is into the millionaire club

Kuminga signed a four-year, $24 million rookie deal with the Golden State Warriors in 2021. The franchise has loved what it saw from the budding forward during the last couple of seasons, which made them exercise the third-year option worth $6 million.

Before joining the Dubs as the seventh pick in 2021, the young player skipped college and opted to play in the G-League, commanding a salary of around $50,000 annually.
