However, not everyone is excited about it. But she has been spending unapologetically. In a recent podcast interview with Overtime, she opened up about her big purchases. She also touched upon what it’s‌ a young athlete with a substantial income.

Her rise to fame began long before she arrived at Louisiana State University. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Reese is one of the most highly touted high school recruits in women’s basketball history. She is currently playing for LSU Tigers and her versatility on the court makes them a formidable opponent in the league. She was named the SEC Player of the Year in 2023 and led LSU to its first national championship.

Angel Reese Cashes in multiple NIL Deals

She is making the most of the name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities. Reese secured an astounding 17 NIL deals so far. These partners, brands include Xfinity, JanSport, Wingstop, Mcdonald’s, Mercedes Benz, and even Sports Illustrated.

This diverse range of endorsements highlights her marketability. Companies are anyhow investing in promising talent.

She is now alongside Arike Ogunbowale, and Diana Taurasi, as one of the highest earners in the league right now. She emphatically states thatMoney I’m Making Is More than Top Players in WNBA”.

Reese is using NIL Money to spend leisurely on herself and make future investments.

Her NIL success is inspiring for others 

Reese said that she has used her NIL money to buy several designer bags, a Mercedes-Benz, and a house for her mother. She also said that she has invested some of her money in stocks and real estate.

NIL deals are providing college athletes with a new way to generate income. This is especially important for women’s basketball players, who have traditionally been paid less than their male counterparts.

Reese’s success is inspiring for other athletes. She is mindful about it and says, “You don’t really see black women doing a lot of deals; especially with these a lot of these brands. So just to see me being able to be an example for a lot of young girls that it looked like me and just giving them the point, just to know that they can do it.”
