Only three days remain for the biggest annual NBA celebration to begin. Apart from the seasoned stars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, some freshmen have entered the fold. For the community surrounding the NBA, the hype leading up to the announcement of the starters is even more interesting as it does stir some controversy due to snubs.
This year there were mainly three headlines – the exclusion of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, Steph’s exclusion from the starting line-up, and the Trae Young snub. Despite Young finding a place in the East due to Joel Embiid and Julius Randle’s injury, the other two snubs remain unaddressed. So, usual banter aside, who is new to this celebration of excellence?

Lastly, there is Scotty Barnes who was 2022 Rookie of the Year from the Toronto Raptors. This inclusion of Branes is justified as this season he averaged career-high stats across the board.
