To step into the shoes of a player like Ja Morant in the All-Star game, the replacement should be performing at an elite level and enjoy considerable popularity among fans, and De’Aaron Fox fits this description to a tee.

The 26-year-old point guard has been the best player on the Sacramento Kings for the past couple of years. This season he has averaged 27.5 points, 5.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. Furthermore, he has led the Kings to a 25-18 record in a fiercely competitive Western Conference.

Another pick to replace Morant could be Devin Booker. Booker has excelled in his new role as the point guard of the Phoenix Suns. He has adapted seamlessly to his new role, with Bradley Beal assuming the responsibilities of the shooting guard. Booker has averaged 27.2 points, 7.5 assists and 4.9 rebounds this season. His remarkably consistent performances, coupled with his star appeal, have made him one of the brightest stars in the NBA.
