The NBA landscape is not the same as it was probably five years ago. Players have come and gone and the league is also without a clear title favorite, like the Warriors in late 2010s. The league is more competitive than ever.

Two of the Best Ballers

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic are two of the best players the league has to offer right now. Jokic is coming off the back of a historical playoff run in which his team, the Denver Nuggets won the NBA title. He also won the Finals MVP. Jokic had one of the best playoff performances of all time. He was the first player in NBA history to lead the playoffs in points, assists and rebounds. In the last five seasons, Jokic has won two MVP trophies in 2021 and 2022.

In a recent post on Reddit, a user alluded to the fact that both the superstars have had eerily similar careers until now. Both are stuck with their teams that drafted them and won the NBA title the right way.

When asked who was the better player out of the two, a user by the name of CarmeloCurryTowns chimed in, “I don’t know why people are saying it’s similar, it’s not similar at all on top of being one of the best offensive player in multiple seasons Giannis was also one of the best, if not the best defensive player in multiple seasons.”

Another user said, “It’s Giannis as of now and it’s not really a debate. Anyone answering Jokic is suffering from recency bias.” A user by the name of Durezzz found the concept “weird”.
