Unlike the stoppage of play during his all-time scoring champion night, James ran back to play defense as soon as he dropped the historical bucket. The rousing LA crowd stood on its feet with the mobile cameras out to capture the moment, but the play went on without any interruption.

During his historic night, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s score, the arena was filled with stars, along with his family. Tonight, it wasn’t a flashy affair. The superstar’s wife Savannah James was seen in the stands, applauding the legend’s magnificent feat.

The superstar playing in his 21st season has already created multiple records in this season alone, like most of the All-Star appearances in the history of the league to the magical 40,000 figure.
