Miami Heat are sailing by this season despite being plagued with injuries to many of their star players. They currently occupy the 5th spot in the Eastern Conference and are well on their way to the playoffs. As they prepare to take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight, fans are just looking forward to one thing: Will Jimmy Butler play?

The 34-year-old has been nursing a toe injury that he sustained in the game against the Utah Jazz on Dec. 31. He has missed seven games since then and looks like it will continue for some time. Per the latest injury report, Butler will travel with the team to Brooklyn. However, he will not suit up to join his teammates on the floor. The same applies to Kevin Love who contends with a knee issue. Promising rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. remains in Miami, sidelined by a groin injury, while Dru Smith is out for the season due to a significant knee injury.

On the Nets’ side, the injured list includes Ben Simmons suffering from a nerve impingement in his lower back and Day’Ron Sharpe sidelined for weeks with a left knee hyperextension. The upcoming games are crucial for the Nets who are teetering at 10th position, their play-in spot looking slippery by the day. They have won just three of their last 10 games and will be looking to take home a win.

The biggest hurdle in the Nets’ way is Bam Adebayo, with an astonishing 22.1 points per game and 10.4 rebounds to his name. Joined by Tyler Herro, the duo will give a tough time to Brooklyn as they look to solidify the Heat’s chances at the playoffs. In such a scenario, who will the Nets be fielding to ensure a win?

Without Day’Ron Sharpe, the Nets’ bench assumes the burden of assisting Claxton with duties that may prove overwhelming due to the high intensity of his defensive work. The Nets expect a full starting unit, featuring Spencer Dinwiddie, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Nic Claxton.
