Shaquille O’Neal brought out his mimicry skills for the new Anthony Edwards comparison. The Minnesota Timberwolves man has emerged as a mega threat for the defending champions in the semi-final series, having already stamped his authority in Game 1 with a 43-pointer for the win. And ahead of Game 2, Shaq didn’t sigh away from drawing an uncanny comparison for Ant-Man.
During the pre-game analysis alongside the Inside Guys, the crew discussed the impact of Edwards on the Denver Nuggets. Many compared AE to an assassin, killer, Ant, and whatnot, but Shaq had a different take. He said, “You guys call him Ant. I’m going to change his name to Rex or Tyrannosaurus Rex. He’s eating everything in sight. That’s what I’m calling him from now.”
Following that, he brought out his mimicry skills to crack the rest of the panel. He said, “Ant-Man ain’t killer enough for me, his new name is Rex,” and mimicked the sound of a dinosaur. Anthony Edwards has emerged as a problem for the rest of the teams in the postseason. The rising superstar shouldered the Wolves in the first round, averaging 31 points to kick our Kevin Durant & Co.

Following that, the defending championships seemed to have a similar fate as they didn’t seem to have an answer for him. AE not only dominated the paint with his athleticism and mid-range shots but also his perimeter shooting. Speaking of that, Shaq’s buddy Charles Barkley also joined the bandwagon. He said, “I didn’t know he could shoot threes… He made himself a hell of a three-point shooter… This boy going to be a problem.”

The duo might need more of their efforts tonight after Game 2, as he doesn’t look like he is going to stop anytime soon. The Wolves take on the wounded Nuggets in Ball Arena for Game 2.
Will Michael Malone have an answer for Anthony Edwards?
The Nuggets clearly didn’t have answers for the youngster in Game 1. The MJ-lookalike clearly emerged as the best player on the court. Especially, the Wolves’ size advantage with Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns put the team in a better position, stopping Nikola Jokić.

On the other hand, Edwards produced his career high with an explosive performance. Following the game, Michael Malone picked up the mic and literally didn’t have an answer for the 22-year-old. He said, “This may sound strange, but he’s going to get his,” stating that AE would score despite the plans against him. Malone instead wanted to focus on the other guard, Mike Conley. He went for a perfect 5-5 FG in the third quarter.
