Anthony Edwards collected showering praise from his opponents right after going 1-0 up in the series. With superstars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry out of the playoffs, the NBA limelight shines bright on the 22-year-old. And, he has also consistently clocked in amazing performances in the postseason. Ironically, Reggie Jackson lauded Ant-Man‘s “god-given ability” sneakily expressing his delight at ‘watching’ him only.

The 13-season NBA veteran picked up the mic ahead of Game 2, addressing the press. Talking about Edwards, Jackson had an uncanny way to describe him. He said, “A Hummer that can 0-60 in 3 seconds… The guy is freakish.” Following that, he continued to list the assets like Ant-Man’s work ethic he has in his arsenal.

The Nuggets guard added, “I don’t know if anybody’s more confident than him… God-given ability combined with his will and his work ethic has made him a problem very, very quick in this league.” Reggie Jackson further exclaimed that he enjoyed facing such a challenge from Anthony Edwards. Above all, he also had a sigh of relief. The 34-year-old, who has a few years left in his tank, unexpectedly made a promising statement catering to himself.

He said, “Got to see his maturation, matching up with him since rookie and I’m also happy that I got about 10 years on him so that you know when he gets in his prime, I’ll be watching.” The Denver Nuggets veteran is one of the four bench players, who lace up in the postseason.

During the Game 1 106-99 loss, Jackson scored 5 points with 2-3 FG in his 14-minute stay. Apart from his offensive abilities, the 6 ‘2 star also has a better impact on the defensive end. Nevertheless, it was the Nuggets’ defense’ ‘no show’ that led to the Saturday night loss. The Minnesota Timberwolves bench fetched them 23 points and a defensive masterclass from Naz Ried. Whereas Jamal Murray’s first-half struggle and the bench’s 15 points stood as a barrier.

Good days for Anthony Edwards!

After scoring his playoff career-high of 43 points on Saturday night, Anthony Edwards took over the headlines. He joined the 2-man elite club alongside the late Kobe Bryant to drop back-to-back 40-pointers in playoffs under the age of 22. While the rising superstar helped his team win their 1st series in 20 years, another important task awaits him.

The team is yet to win their first Championship. Ant-Man could not only win the first championship for the Wolves but also join Bryant again in winning a Championship under 22. While Mamba achieved a threepeat at the age of 23, Edwards is slightly behind the legend. Apart from the buzz he created with his Game 1 performance, he also received massive praise from Charles Barkley.

Barkley, in his post-game analysis, dropped a candid statement about the rising superstar. He said, “But the main thing man, that damn man, Anthony Edwards, he is special… I didn’t know he could shoot threes… He made himself a hell of a three-point shooter…This boy going to be a problem.”

Will Edwards continue to live up to expectations for the rest of the series? Let us know in the comments below.
