Hours after Shaquille O’Neal looked for help to save Anthony Edwards, the big man got his prayers answered. Heading into Game 6 after 3 straight losses, the Timberwolves needed something more than Ant-Man’s magic. While the rest of the Inside Guys crew had given up, Shaq rested his trust on one player, but he instead got two players playing for his cause. Eventually, the Twolves just didn’t force Game 7 but decimated the Nuggets for a 115-70 win.

Ahead of the tip-off, Dr. Diesel disagreed with Draymond Green, who had written off Karl-Anthony Towns. The big man added“I still have faith in Mr. Meow. He hasn’t really been playing well… He definitely needs to step up. Ant just needs a little bit of help so you know you get him going… if they can get that type of momentum type of spark. I still believe him.” He also said that if KAT doesn’t step up, then the Wolves would end up like how Green pointed out.

However, the game just went the way how Shaq intended it to go. Towns dropped 10 points along with an improved effort on the defensive end. Moreover, Jaden McDaniels came in for the rescue, dropping 21 with 8-10 FG to provide a “little bit of help” to the rising superstar.

Tonight wasn’t the first time Draymond Green thrashed Towns. After the Game 5 loss, he pointed out KAT and blamed him for the reason behind the Wolves’ failure. He said, ” Karl-Anthony Towns walked off that floor with that limp after he played the rest of the game, totally fine… They don’t believe anymore… When you lose belief, it’s over. And they don’t believe they can win anymore, which means the series is over.”

However, the Wolves didn’t play like they lost their belief, instead landed a massive blow on the Nuggets ahead of the series decider.

Shaq’s 2-word advice after Game 4 saved the night for the Wolves!

During the first two games, the Nuggets were all over the place, struggling to defend their title. But, in the following three games, they left the Wolves to run in all directions to save their life. They didn’t look like the best defensive side even after having 4x DPOY Rudy Gobert on their team sheet.

That’s when Shaquille O’Neal, after Game 4, dropped a two-word solution: defensive intensity. He referred to the team as lost on the defensive end of the court. Especially the French big man took all the blows. Nikola Jokić left him to run for his money in all the one-on-one battles.

In Game 5, Jokic even dropped a historical stat line. He became the second person in the NBA world to drop 40 points with 10+ assists with no turnovers in a playoff game after Chris Paul.

However, tonight it wasn’t the same story.

The Wolves put out a good old defense display on the Nuggets. It definitely impacted the scorecard card as the top two scorers of the side struggled to find buckets. Jokic went 9-19 from the field, dropping only 22 points. Whereas, Jamal Murray had a night to forget, dropping 10 points with an embarrassing 4-18 FG.
