The Tuesday night In-season Tournament games have become an ugly ground for two horrific fights. Following the fight involving Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis also joined the club. Minutes into the first quarter of the game against the Memphis Grizzlies, AD engaged in a scuffle with Santi Aldama, leaving the fans online in a frenzy.

This incident almost resembled the ugly physical altercation of the Warriors game. With less than 90 seconds into the game, Stephen Curry-less Dubs, lost both their stars in one go. The refs ejected China Klay and DrayMagic, leaving the team to face the Minnesota Timberwolves without the ‘big-3’. Similarly, the fight broke out only 6 minutes into the game.

Fans go haywire as Anthony Davis breaks into a fight

The Los Angeles Lakers stepped into the game with the victory high. Following a shaky start to the season, the Lakers registered a 5-5 record after the win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Moreover, the LA side would aim to decimate the Grizzlies, who struggle at the bottom of the table with a 2-8 record. However, the first quarter incident doesn’t seem like they would give in easily.

Reacting to LeBron James‘ long pass from the other end of the court, Davis dropped a layup and tried to return to his defense position. While returning, Santi Aldama held up Davis in an uncomfortable position using the ball.

In response, AD pushed Aldama to the ground which erupted the audience into a screamer. Following that, Grizzlies Desmond Bane walked in to confront the star, leaving the court in a crowded mess.

While the physical altercation didn’t hamper the Lakers’ game, the Dubs paid a heavy price.

Dubs bite the dust

The fight not only ejected their superstars but also their chance at sealing a close game. With Green and Thompson leaving the court, the team relied on Andrew Wiggins and rookie Brandin Podziemski to step up. The rookie indeed showed his class, becoming the second Warrior to score above 20 points after Curry in this season. However, it wasn’t enough for the team, as clutch Anthony Edwards took the game away from the slightly in-experienced Dubs.
