The FIBA World Cup has ended and there were some major upsets during the tournament. The biggest one was undoubtedly the United States of America’s Semi-Final loss to eventual champions, Germany. Team USA had some well-known NBA names like Austin Reaves, Anthony Edwards, and many others on their roster. However, none of them failed to turn up when it mattered the most.

Just days after this massive heartbreak, FIBA has given the USA fanbase a huge assurance. But, the NBA fanbase on Twitter and Instagram wasn’t happy with this decision.

The FIBA World Cup, which concluded recently, has certainly changed the dynamics of world basketball. We have a new world champion and the United States team is being bashed left, right, and center for their performances.

Despite that, they still captured the #1 spot in the World Rankings. FIBA recently released their updated rankings following the World Cup and there are some huge surprises. The 2019 champions Spain dropped one place and took the #2 spot in the rankings while Germany unsurprisingly climbed 8 spots and is now ranked #3 in the world.

One of the biggest surprises on the list has been Latvia. They went into the tournament as underdogs and went all the way to the Quarter Finals of the tournament.

NBA world brings up Noah Lyles and roasts the rankings

Athletics World Champion Noah Lyles set the NBA world on fire after his ‘World Champion’ comments a few days ago. He questioned the need to call the NBA champions – the ‘World Champions’.

Following the USA’s heartbreaking loss to Germany, NBA fans across social media platforms brought up his argument to roast the USA. It looks like Reaves and co still cannot catch some respite. Here are some of the reactions to the latest rankings on Instagram and Twitter.
