The NCAA Football Fever has raised the temperature of NBA athletes. While the NFL remains the ultimate box-office content, the college football scene is blessed too. LeBron James has followed the season closely and has given props, especially to Coach Prime. Apart from that, many other NBA players follow the football field like they are huge fanboys. So, when it comes to a battle related to their alma mater, they are going to go all out to support it. Thus, within the intense NBA rivalries, is hidden some banter and a lot of inter-college fan rivalries.
Therefore, another intense NBA player, Draymond Green, has his say. He believes his alma meter MSU is up to the task.

Draymond Green backs his squad
In an Instagram story, Hawks’ two-way Guard and former Washington Huskies star DeJounte Murray wrote, “UH OHHHHHHH @Money23Green @Miles Bridges @Jaren 👀 Let me know what we doing”. Murray tagged Draymond Green, Miles Bridges, and Jaren Jackson Jr., who all played for MSU. In the background text, there is a mention of the fixture between the Michigan State Spartans and Washington Huskies.

Replying to this, Green wrote in his Insta story, “Long trip back to Seattle off an L”. Since Seattle is the home of the Washington Huskies, the Forward is sure that when they get back there, it will be with a loss. This is not a surprise for the defensive phenom, who spent a sizeable stretch in NCAA college for MSU. A native of Saginaw, Michigan, he played for Michigan State University from 2008 to 2012. He ended his Michigan career as one of the three players to register 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Apart from that, he joined MSU’s storied alumni Magic Johnson and Cincinnati sensation Oscar Robertson in a colossal achievement.
He became just the third player in 2012 to collect two triple-doubles during the NCAA tourney. Even before joining the NBA, he had already built an impressive resume. He entered as a three/four-star prospect and the Warriors got a steal at the 35th pick. What about Jackson, Bridges, and Murray’s college roots?

The Memphis Grizzlies took the reigning Defensive Player of the Year fourth in the 2018 draft. In contrast, Bridges spent two seasons and earned his laurels as a five-star recruit. The Charlotte Hornets selected him 12th in the 2018 draft. Like Jackson, Murray was also one-and-done in college.
