Proud LeBron James Showers Blessings on “Nephew” as Melo’s Son Kiyan Anthony Follows Bryce James to College

LeBron James doesn’t shy away from giving props. Much of his social media posts are about praising someone’s achievements. Shouting out young and budding players has also been a regular feature. With his sons steadily heading to the pro-ball realm, he has followed their peers closely too. He has often taken a liking to these prospects and calls these young ones “nephews”. These peers can be children of James’ peers too. Therefore, the connection is deep in such a case. This holds true in Kiyan Anthony’s case, who is the son of James’ former rival Carmelo Anthony.

With his son Bryce James receiving college offers, Anthony is getting his dues too.

LeBron James in awe of Kiyan Anthony

Anthony was on a recruitment visit to Florida State University. During this recruitment drive, he didn’t shy away from donning various FSU basketball program jerseys. The turquoise jersey which carries the “Seminoles” name of the FSU squad is certainly a sight to behold. In a photograph, he is with his father, former NBA scoring ace Carmelo Anthony, and his mother Lala Anthony. The prideful trio looks sharp in the jerseys. Melo is wearing what appears to be a practice tank top for the Seminoles and is also donning shades while posing alongside Seminoles’ official prop.

His child Kiyan is standing in the middle whereas mom Lala is holding the ball. The three look in terrific shape and look as if they can take the court and form a deadly trio. This snapshot filled LeBron James with a lot of emotions. Sharing the photo, he took to Instagram. In his story, mentioning the trio’s Insta handles, he wrote, ”So damn 🔥🔥🔥🔥 nephew”.

After beginning his journey with rival Melo, now their children are on a similar path. While Kiyan is a four-star recruit and has an uphill climb, his game has resonated with many college programs. He already has an offer from his father’s former alma-meter Syracuse Orange. Like Kiyan, LBJ’s son Bryce is also receiving a ton of offers.

He has received an offer from his home state’s program.

Where will Bryce James and Anthony go?

James recently went to visit Ohio State University and also took snaps in a Buckeyes jersey.

With an important season ahead, he will also look to improve his scouting report. He has a huge season ahead with the Notre Dame Sherman Oaks. Both players took part in the Nike Peach Jam earlier this year. Now, they are going to be together as two of the top-most 84 high-school students. They have been invited to the Under-17 USA basketball minicamp at the US Olympic Training Center. 

This is the same place where Carmelo Anthony participated in 2001 when he was a junior high student. Like his dad, will Kiyan also ever reach huge heights in the NBA? Before that, he and Bryce will have a huge decision to make.
