The Chicago Bulls have seen some high-potential players have a heartbreaking end to their careers due to their injuries. Former MVP Derrick Rose comes to mind whenever talking about such players. However, in recent memory, Lonzo Ball has suffered a similar fate to Rose. Having played with the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James, the son of millionaire Lavar Ball had a great start to his Bulls career.

An unfortunate injury sidelined him for quite some time and the 25-year-old is still yet to recover. Months after a worrying update about Ball, the injured Bulls star came clean about his regrets recently.

LeBron James’ former teammate reveals his regret following major injury

Ball last played in an NBA game on the 14th of January, 2021. This is more than 2 years since the son of a basketball millionaire, LaVar Ball, was seen in action.

This is a result of his chronic injury problems which have affected him both physically and mentally. Talking with Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, Ball recently revealed his regrets.

Young touched upon how Ball’s injury came during a very wrong time. The Bulls were the first seed in the East and their season came crashing down with Ball’s injury.

“I feel bad just for the GMs because I feel they made the perfect team around me. And I felt like I was involved, that was the most I was ever involved in an organization and I finally got the perfect team”, said Ball while answering Young’s query. 

He further revealed, “I feel like we really had a chance and never got to see what it was”. Despite a great start to their campaign, the injury really hurt DeMar DeRozan and the Bulls. They ultimately finished 6th in the Eastern Conference and their season ended in the first round of the playoffs.

NBA fans blamed Ball’s father for his situation

A few months ago, reports revealed that Lonzo Ball will miss the 2023-24 NBA season due to an issue with his left knee. This raised a huge issue across social media platforms.

One fan made some scathing attacks against Lavar Ball, who is worth $4 million and the co-founder of the billion-dollar company, The Big Baller Brand. According to the fan, The Big Baller Brand makes horrible shoes accounting for Ball’s injury.
