They even used a Travis Scott concert to stage hate for Young. It isn’t the first time they have expressed their hate where Young wasn’t relevant. And it isn’t the last time. Of course, we have to understand, the hate is deep-rooted.

Why the Knicks fans hate Young

If you are a Knicks fan, the 2021 playoff series replays in your mind at the very mention of Young. In his playoff debut, 15,000 fans stormed the MSG with distasteful chants. They trolled his hairstyle, threw curses, and even spit at him. Instead of shrinking up, Young decided to channel the violent treatment into motivation. That very night he skipped through the entire

defense and nailed a dagger floater. The Garden was stunned and silent. Trae was brimming with pride, and he put a finger to his mouth.

“It’s quiet as f**k in here” he told the fans.

From that day on, an eternal rivalry was shaped. Every time the Hawks visit, the Knicks fandom hunts young. Sometimes even when he is not playing.
