However, following the comeback game, LSU’s quarterback Jayden Daniels, who won the Heisman Trophy, revealed a glimpse of Ja’s ‘dark times’.

For someone who shares posts regularly on social media, he remained in active throughout the postseason, except for reacting to the Grizzlies trades. He completed his 5-year-long college stint and has turned into a hot prospect for the 2023 NFL draft. Amid this career-high moment, Daniels revealed about Ja Morant‘s tough period.

Daniels sat on the courtside seats for the much-awaited game and witnessed Morant’s clutch magic from close quarters. Following the game, when the All-Star rushed towards the locker room, he stopped in front of Daniels for a moment, and gave him the game jersey with his signature on, reported Andscape.

After that, the young quarterback, who traveled alongside Morant during the suspension, described the situation. He said, “He has been working for it. Everything he has been through in those dark times, he was able to come out here from the dark and show a lot.”

Morant brought back his team from a 24-point deficit and clinched the game with the possession of the ball in the final few seconds of the game. The comeback became more special when the superstar of the game appreciated him.

Morant took on the New Orleans Pelicans on his return in an away game. He walked into the arena with a booing crowd and ended up winning their hearts at the end of the game buzzer.

Speaking of the New Orleans crowd, he said, “I don’t know what I did to the Pelicans or their fans, but hey, they got to root for their team. So, it’s all good,” reported AP News. However, the wishes of the superstar took over everything else.

LeBron James took to his X handle and dropped a 6-word message to Morant. He wrote, “12 welcome back!! Go be GREAT again!!,” before the game and wrote, “12 !!!! That’s All,” after the game.
