The NFL GOAT debate doesn’t leave out NBA stars either. Just like the NBA’s never-ending Jordan-Bron debate, the NFL world has the Tom Brady-Patrick Mahomes debate. While there isn’t a definitive result for both debates, fans bring their emotions to the play. On this note, the Orlando Magic star Paolo Banchero shelled out his pick for the greatest between Brady and Mahomes.
Sitting alongside Taylor Rooks for an interview with Bleacher Report, Banchero discussed various facets of his career, personal life, and much more. And eventually, it came down to Rooks, asking him to pick between Mahomes and Brady. Even though Banchero considered Brady great, he had a unique response.
The Magic star said, “Tom Brady broke my heart, so it’s hard giving him… He is the goat 7 chips but he should have six,” The 21-year-old took revenge on Brady for beating his favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks, during one of his Super Bowls.

Following Banchero, even Rooks pitched in saying that she also felt the same way “as a Falcons fan” and the sophomore star said, “Should have five (rings) right, he always finds a way.”
And speaking of Mahomes, as a quarterback himself in the past, the Magic star dropped words of praise for the defending champions. He added, “Mahomes is definitely, I think, the most just pure Raw Talent I’ve seen play quarterback.” The star forward further went on to reveal that he met him and interacted with him recently.
While we are not sure about the conversation between the stars, we definitely know that both stars don’t look alike. Yes, you read that right. Things between Banchero and Mahomes started off on a hilarious note.

Broadcaster mistakes Banchero for Mahomes
Paolo Banchero may have been the #1 pick of the 2022 draft, but he still needs to do a lot of work to get recognized easily. In 2022, the Magic star visited the Miami Grand Prix and walked around the grid before the race. That’s when Sky Sports broadcaster Martin Brundle stopped him for a chitchat. It went well apart from the fact that he mistook him for Patrick Mahomes. Following that, he took to his X handle and wrote, “I’m jus vibing right now man.”
