The Super Bowl is one of the biggest exhibitions for marketers. Expecting high-profile actors to feature in exotic commercials during the game breaks has become a tradition in American households. But, this year, the commercials didn’t seem to have impress Indiana Pacers rising superstar Tyrese Haliburton. The 23-year-old even took to his social media to express his disappointment.

Tonight’s Super Bowl commercials featured celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Snoop Dogg, David and Victoria Beckham in their 30-second commercials. While Haliburton didn’t particularly point out a commercial he disliked, he commented on them as a whole. He wrote, “Super Bowl commercials used to mean something man. We used to be a country,” via his X handle.

While Haliburton commented on the commercials, the San Francisco 49ers took a massive lead in the first half, leaving the Kansas City Chiefs fans on their feet, ahead of the second half. The Chiefs finally opened their account with 20 seconds left on the clock for halftime with a 28-yard field goal..

The 49ers have put in the work to keep Travis Kelce under control. The Chief tight end has had only one catch for 1 yard. On the other hand, the San Francisco side brought in trick play to get a 10-point lead in the first half game. They eventually gave it away, reducing it to 7 points in the final few seconds of the first half.

Meanwhile, the game attracted millions of eyeballs in front of their TV screens and football action isn’t the only thing that the fans anticipate. Many also anticipate the dazzling VFX and a few laughs from the commercials during the game break. But, it doesn’t seem to be the case, as per the Pacers stars. Not to forget the Halftime musical performance by pop stars as well.

It’s a no-brainer that the most-watched event in America brings in the biggest stars and inventive commercials our way. Reportedly, the brands have to pay $7 million for a 30-second spot this year.

Dunkin’ Donuts seemed to have brought the big players to their table. They had Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jennifer Lopez, and former NFL superstar Tom Brady feature in a funky ad to promote DunKings iced coffee.
