Some intense basketball games can get the audience to react aggressively at times. And that’s what’s put Nikola Jokic‘s brother in trouble. Even though Jokic is gaining positive coverage for his team’s overall success during the playoffs against the Lakers, his brothers are taking advantage of it. Nikola’s brother, Strahinja, has been making headlines since last week when he punched a Lakers fan during Game 2. He is now possibly back again with yet another incident just like the earlier one.

Roughly 5 days after the punching incident, an image started circulating on social media where Strahinja and Nemanja were seen with their back toward the camera. The image was posted by LakeShowYo, with the caption “Jokic brothers leaving mad as hell”, followed by “bro pushed me”. It wasn’t confirmed which brother was being talked about. This took place after the Lakers finally got the better of the Nuggets ending an embarrassing 11-game streak.

In the picture, both of Nikola’s brothers are seen leaving the arena in a state of frustration, but no substantial evidence is provided for the allegation made by the fan “being pushed by them”. Strahinja and Nemanja, who have a strong passion for their brother’s games, probably felt disappointed after Game 4 and the Nuggets’ inability to score. This could explain their eagerness to get out of the arena as soon as possible since games like these are intensely emotional.

Even though Nikola delivered a fantastic performance in the last 5 matchups, by scoring 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists, it did not matter in the crucial Game 4. The offensive lineup led by LeBron James, Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, and Austin Reaves beat them. Even though the Nuggets still hold a significant advantage over the Lakers, this still was a pretty upsetting loss, delaying them from heading to the next stage. So, no wonder Jokic’s brothers weren’t that happy.

As of now, no official statement has been made yet about how true the story is. However, given Strahinja’s physical altercation at the Ball Arena in Colorado, it wouldn’t look good for him to have a repeat of the incident in LA.

Nikola Jokić’s brothers under investigation?

It was Game 2 just a few days ago when one of the Joker’s brothers reportedly threw a punch at a Lakers fan inside the arena. The incident was captured on video and went viral for a long time after.

Immediately after the news went viral, the NBA launched an investigation into the incident. According to TMZ, the Denver Police Department has launched its own probe into finding out what happened. “At this point, all we are able to say is that the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made,” said a Denver Police spokesperson.

However, in a mail sent to the Associated Press by the Denver police media relations unit, it was mentioned, “At this time, no one has come forward as a victim of this incident. The Department is looking into this incident, is actively working to identify the person in the video who was struck, and encourages anyone who was involved or witnessed this firsthand to contact the Denver Police Department.”

Then on Thursday, TMZ Sports further reported that the police had found the person who was punched in Game 2 and “they’ve been in communication” with him. However, the representative didn’t speak about the same man seeking to put forth the charges against Jokic’s brother, or formally file a report. So, the investigation is still ongoing, which means Strahinja is still safe and free to move about anywhere.

Nikola Jokić himself has not spoken out on the incident. At the same time, however, many other individuals are making their voices heard. A few days ago, 34-year-old mixed martial arts fighter Aljamain Sterling supported Strahinja’s punch, and wrote, “Sometimes you just gotta eat it and let it slide. #NoDiddy #NoSnitchin”, on X.

Coming back to the sporting side, the Nuggets just need another win to eliminate the Lakers. While that would work in favor of many Denver fans, it may also help clear the alleged frustration around the Jokic brothers’ presence.
