It’s the time of the year when people are high on holiday spirit, glasses filled with eggnog, and a heart of generosity. Christmas is merely a few hours away and along with it come the NBA’s Christmas Day matchups that fans look forward to.

The defending NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, will be suiting up on Christmas. But not before blowing off some steam as Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and more gather together at their teammate’s party.

For this year’s Christmas Day matchup, the Denver Nuggets will be facing off against the Golden State Warriors. It would be a battle to witness Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets try to fend off Stephen Curry and the Warriors.

Given how grueling the entire NBA year can be on players, it can be difficult for them to blow off steam and enjoy now and then. However, the Nuggets somehow managed to pull that off right before their next matchup. Nuggets center DeAndre Jordan hosted a Christmas party with his wife, Bethany Jordan. The party was costume-themed, and everyone came dressed up. Nuggets’ teammates like Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic were some who were in attendance.

Jokic had a blonde wig on, cosplaying the character of Kristoff from Disney’s Frozen. He posed alongside Jordan in a series of photos uploaded by DJ on Instagram. In the photos, DeAndre Jordan could be seen in a couple’s costume, along with his wife Bethany.

There was a Christmas-themed Grinch at their party to add to the holiday spirit. Along with Christmas-themed cocktails as well. The staff helping at the party got Christmas-themed t-shirts with ‘Santa’s Helpers’ printed on the back, too.

It was a fun and eventful night as Jokic, Gordon, and Jordan all got together, along with a few other people. Judging by the photos, the party also moved to the craps table, eventually.

The Nuggets celebrating their holiday season

Around Christmas time, every other team around the league has their way of celebrating the holiday. Some go out into the community to make Christmas special for the ones who are less fortunate.

Much like what the Oklahoma City Thunder did a few weeks ago. Whereas, some teams tend to celebrate Christmas among themselves by hosting parties or come bearing gifts for their teammates.

Just like Luka Doncic, who showered his teammates and the Dallas Mavericks staff with gifts. And this was the Denver Nuggets’ way of celebrating their holiday season. What did your favorite team or player do this holiday season?
