After Team USA pulled off a last-minute miracle and secured a very narrow win against Serbia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the chances of Nikola Jokic and co to walk away with a medal seemed bleak. Fortunately, lady luck was on their side during the next matchup against Germany, allowing the roster to possess the bronze via a 93-83 win. Given that it has been less than a week since the victory, the celebrations are still not choosing to die out. A recent bout of partying has even brought out Nikola Jokic’s wild side!

The official Instagram account of ‘Basketballforever’ recently uploaded a clip of the 29-year-old Serbian dancing whilst standing on a chair. With his shirt completely unbuttoned, Jokic was waving around a handkerchief and singing along to the tune of Donna Ares’ “Prokleta Je Amerika.” Alongside him, other Serbian players like Vasilije Micić were also captured in the video.

This incident marks the second consecutive time, just this year, that Jokic has been captured dancing whilst standing on a chair. Along with Houston Rockets star Boban Marjanović, he was seen vibing at a concert in Serbia back in June, once again making use of the device despite him and Marjanovic probably being the tallest people there.

From partying in the bus whilst singing along to patriotic songs, to hanging out shirtless with other members of Team Serbia, Nikola Jokic is making the best use of his available time. After all, given the struggles the player faces in making friends, he may not get to have such moments on an everyday basis.

Nikola Jokic’s father highlights that it is “Hard for him to accept new people”

In the aftermath of Serbia’s bronze medal game, ‘Sportal’ received the chance to interview the Denver Nuggets star’s father, Branislav Jokic. During the same, he touched base on his son’s humble lifestyle, and how he enjoys “simple things.” Longtime fans of Nikola Jokic are well acquainted with his love of horses. However, with basketball and horses being his two biggest passions, the player has chosen to build a majority of his acquaintances around that area itself.

“He doesn’t hang out with new friends,” said Branislav. “It’s hard for him to accept new people around him. They have to be from the world of basketball or horses, something else very difficult.”

Jokic Sr emphasized that the 29-year-old could pursue other interests, like going rafting in Belgrade. However, he doesn’t wish to draw more attention to himself whilst being in his native country. His favorite thing to do is to simply head out to his favorite bar on Fridays or Saturdays with friends who have been with him since his childhood days.

Therefore, not everyone gets to hang out with the ‘party-animal’ version of Nikola Jokic, as seen above. With the 2024-25 NBA season not expected to start soon, no one can blame the Serbian for extending the festivities for as long as possible.
