The Golden State Warriors opened the second half of their season with a 128-110 win against the Los Angeles Lakers. After a sluggish start to the season, the Warriors will try to ride that momentum into Friday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. However, the Hornets are poised to give the Warriors a run for their money. The Hornets, who had not won two games in a row until November, are also basking in a four-game winning streak. While this one promises to be an exciting matchup as both teams try to hold on to their winning ways, the sibling showdown between Stephen Curry and Seth Curry will add another layer of intrigue to tonight’s contest.

Although the brother-on-brother rivalry will add an interesting twist to the game, Stephen Curry is usually not the biggest trash-talker when Seth plays against them. Back in 2023, Seth revealed that during games, he mostly exchanges verbal jabs with Draymond Green or Klay Thompson. “He [Stephen Curry] doesn’t trash talk really at all. I do a little bit. Sometimes it’s more of me and his teammates talking to each other, whether it’s Draymond or Klay a little bit whoever it is out there,” said Seth during an exclusive interview with Rush. He further added that “it’s kinda weird” because for the rest of the season when he is not playing against them, he is rooting for his brother’s team.

As the two brothers gear up to battle it out tonight, let us take a look at the injuries and predicted starting lineups.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Golden State Warriors

Since the trade deadline and acquiring Grant Williams and Seth Curry, the Hornets boast an unblemished 4-0 record. This includes their 115-107 win over the Utah Jazz on the road. The Hornets have been one of the worst road teams in the league this season but were still able to dominate the West-leading Minnesota Timberwolves and the Jazz. Therefore, they will aim to repeat a similar feat at the Chase Center tonight. They are currently monitoring three players on the injury report. LaMelo Ball (ankle), Davis Bertans (knee) are game-time decisions, while Mark Williams (back) is ruled out. If Ball does not get the green light, the Hornets could start the game with Tre Mann, Cody Martin, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, and Nate Richards.

Meanwhile, the Warriors finally look like they have figured it out this season. They have won nine of their last 11 games and are over two games over .500 for the first time since November. The Warriors will miss the services of Chris Paul (hand) and Gary Payton II (illness) tonight. They might open the game with Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and Draymond Green.
