The Minnesota Timberwolves’ rampant rise has been evident this season. They grew from a play-in team last season to being the best team in the West. Certain stars have emerged in the land of the Wolves who have allowed them to ascend to the top. Particular focus should deservingly be on Anthony Edwards. The former number-one pick is having a career year averaging 26.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. But it’s not just offense where he contributes. The Wolves are the best defensive team in the league with Rudy Gobert and Ant-Man having some of the best defensive ratings league-wide. To that, you add a stretch four having the abilities of Karl-Anthony Towns, and Minnesota have become a powerhouse feasting on any opponent they can get their eyes on.

However, there is a stark disparity between the regular season and the playoff. With barely 20 games in hand, the Wolves are focusing on making moves to accent their chances in the postseason. This involves signing a free agent who is known to be a cold-blooded scorer. He has played in eight seasons and earned $59 million throughout his NBA career. Former Indiana Pacers starlet TJ Warren could be heading to Minnesota.

They might be looking to add some scoring depth to their roster as the postseason begins to creep closer. For his career, TJ Warren is a 15-point-per-game scorer. His most memorable stretch probably came during the 2020 Orlando Bubble where Warren’s offensive gifts were on full display. When unhinged, he can be a perimeter threat and a reliant scoring piece who plays with a high work rate. The only concerns with Warren are firstly his history of injuries. The former Pacers starlet had to miss the entire 2021-22 season with a foot injury. Moreover, it’s his dormancy with the NBA game. Having not played in a while, there is no certainty that TJ Warren has preserved the skills that made teams value him at once. He will need regular reps to be back in game shape and accustom himself to the Minnesota Timberwolves system.
