The Maxim “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish” holds true for life and sports. Everyone wants to win, but other than the efforts, nothing else is in one’s control. Damian Lillard dedicated 11 years of his career to the Portland Trail Blazers, but he never achieved his end goal. But he is still going to pursue it. The second act of one’s life or one’s career is often the last surge toward something that makes any vocation worthwhile. It could not have been more obvious than his below Instagram post before his preseason debut.

He aptly captioned the post “2nd act”, shooting a warning to everyone in the NBA that he is coming. Lillard is going through a lot of change and emotions both personally and professionally. Then there is the Miami Heat. Last year, they were the eighth seed that trumped the Bucks, and played in the finals. They haven’t done much this off-season, yet they are always a problem.
