The Pacers’ legend was in awe seeing LeBron James play

LeBron James’ decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers had sent shockwaves through the NBA world. Although his first year back was unsuccessful, he fulfilled his promise to Cleveland by leading them to their first NBA title in 2016. During a recent appearance in the Tidal League podcast, Myles Turner narrated how he was mind-blown after seeing LeBron play. Myles revealed he had not previously recognized James’ greatness. “I wasn’t LeBron hater, but I was like, he Bron, he cool. He ain’t Kobe (Bryant)”. However, he had a change of heart once they faced each other in the playoffs.

Myles said, “One of the smartest motherf***ers I’ve ever played against, bro. His influence on the game is crazy. People do not talk about his vision. He doesn’t have to score to be effective, and that’s why he is still in the league as old as he is today. He sees things before it happens. We are running a play, and he calls out everything we are about to do in the play.” Myles highlighted James’ basketball IQ and intuitive nature, which makes him a force to be reckoned with on the hardwood. He recalled James’ iconic three-pointer in the clutch during game 5 of the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs.

LeBron James’ second stint with the Cavaliers

After four successful seasons with the Miami Heat, LeBron decided to move back to his home, in northeast Ohio. When he first decided to leave for the Miami Heat, he received a lot of backlash, but his decision to return had the fans rejoicing. His second stint with the Cavaliers proved to be extremely successful. He led the Cavaliers for four consecutive NBA finals appearances, winning a title in 2016. That historical moment marked the end of the Cavaliers’ championship drought after 52 years.
