While Stephen Curry is out because of an injury to his right knee, the non-Curry Warriors are coming under the limelight. After yesterday’s match against the Timberwolves, Brandin Podziemski has become relevant to the franchise.

The Golden State Warriors were up against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at the Chase Center. Although the players seemed to put on their best hard-nosed man-to-man defense, the franchise trailed behind by the end of the fourth quarter. Although the team has established a four-game losing streak, the future seems bright for the Curry-inspired guard.

In a practice session before tonight’s game, when asked about how his floating game has amped up and how he became a three-level scorer, the shooting guard replied that he just has to keep things simple to score high. Apart from that, he also praised how Curry’s vertical inspired him to improve his game.

Owing the credit to Manu Ginobili and Stephen Curry, Podziemski seemed promising to continue his form in the rest of the games. Although the half-court defense took a hit when the franchise ran on the Curry-less rotation, ‘Podz’ slid through. Recovering from his garbage time minutes in the past games, the shooting guard seemed to rise from the ashes in the last game against the Timberwolves.

In times of need, Podziemski took it upon himself to take the scoring reins. However, he wasn’t alone in the 20-plus-points department. Coupled with Saric’s 21-point score, the guard put on his 23-point show.

Weaponizing Podziemski by running a half-court set that got him downhill in the last game might work out to hand a championship run to the Dubs Nation. He put up a 13-point score, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists against the Thunder tonight.
