While Stephen Curry & Co. struggled for a win, Anthony Edwards turned the night into a fun-filled outing. Firstly, he anchored the Minnesota Timberwolves‘ offense and helped his side to take a close win. Then, after the win, he switched his profession for a bit and turned into a reporter to praise his teammate. Above all, the Wolves star even poked the bear for fun and he revealed the details of it after the game.

Speaking to a reporter in the locker room, Ant-Man revealed with whom he trash-talked during the game. The reporter asked if Gary Payton II went after him throughout the game. Edwards denied it and said, “He wasn’t talking trash. That’s my dawg. We just compete. I think I was talking more trash to Steph than anybody else.”

Anthony Edwards further went on to narrate the face-off between him and Curry. Wolves guard added, “We were just competing, having some fun. I told him, ‘he can’t guard me.’ He came back and scored and said, ‘Y’all can’t guard me’, it was fun.” Stephen Curry went on to drop 31 points on the Wolves, however, in a losing cause.

Edwards had the last laugh, as the Wolves outscored the Dubs in the last quarter. Even after the victory, he continued to have fun. The star guard turned into a reporter and joined the interview scrum to ask his teammate a question. The Wolves veteran guard Mike Conley dropped a scintillating three-pointer after shoving the Dubs rookie Brandin Podziemski to the floor. Impressed by the play, he said, “Oh, it was nasty… Mike do one fu**ing move and he gets a guy to fall. How that work, bruh?” While the night ended in all smiles for the star, will he face the consequence for poking the bear?

The 4x NBA Champion has a history of giving back to his trash talkers. The most recent one was between him and Ja Morant in 2023. While the teams already had a brewing rivalry after their intense Western Conference semi-final clash in the 2022 playoffs, it turned into an intense battle between the duo.

During the game, Morant after Steph repeatedly. But Curry didn’t let it pass, as he reached out to Morant after winning the game and dropped a rare trash talk. He said, “Fun as hell, fellas. Come on! Come on!”
