The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Philadelphia 76ers with a whopping 138-94. NBA MVP Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers’ onslaught, scoring 30 and 31 points, respectively. However, other battles unfolded on the basketball court. Patrick Beverley paid back Lakers star Austin Reaves, settling some scores from the past.

The feud began when 76ers star Beverley was with the Chicago Bulls after being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers. He hit LeBron James with a ‘too small’ celebration. Later it was Reaves who took the revenge by hitting him with ‘too small’. Beverley had the last laugh in the encounter between the 76ers and the Lakers.

It all went down like this. Patrick Beverley and Robert Covington gathered near the baseline to bolster their defenses. Beverley rushed to stop Austin Reaves, and the two bumped into each other. He raised his arms, and the officials stepped in before things could turn ugly. The two exchanged words, and the fracas were brief on the court. Later, after the win, Beverley took to social media to celebrate the clash. He shared the battle between the two captioned, “Pat Bev has Austin Reaves in Hell”. Patrick was overjoyed to add a pinch of more salt to the wounds. He captioned it, ” He hit me with the 2 little last year.”

Austin Reaves is not surprised by this

After the game, Reaves gave his take on the episode that happened in the third quarter of the game. According to Lakers Nation, Reaves shared that he has a lot of respect for Patrick Beverley as a competitor. Reaves also said that he wasn’t surprised to see him doing the same thing he did against Beverley in the previous season. Given the exchange of “too small” celebration between the two, Austin didn’t show negative feelings. The two stars showed competitiveness on the court, however. Reaves had 12 points in his kitty with 40% FG, and 25% 3FG. Beverley too bagged an equal number of points and 6 rebounds.
