The Phoenix Suns are coming off a 120-105 loss against the Kings at the Golden 1 Center on Friday. This loss adds to the mounting woes the team has been bearing the entire season; falling behind in 4th place in the Pacific Division, they have been struggling to find a rhythm this season. Last month, the Suns enjoyed a seven-game winning streak, but the events that followed were not pretty.

Following the streak, they lost eight out of the last 11 games they played. Big man KD and star guard Devin Booker have had to step up and wear themselves out in the games as the Suns desperately look out for a silver lining. While the team might be feeling the blues, Devin Booker has not lost spirit. In fact, he admits that he has seen worse times.

Booker is confident they can turn the tides in their favor

As reported by Bleacher Report‘s Chris Haynes, Booker says, “I’ve been through worse than this.” It looks like the 3x NBA All-Star has not lost faith in his teammates as he continues, “Remember those first five years for me? I’ve seen this before. I trust everybody in here. We have the talent to turn it around. I’m not too discouraged, but there’s a pep in our step now. We know we have some work to clean up. It’s better to go through this now than the end of the season.”

Booker is confident that putting a little more work in the gym would help the team get back on track. The Suns will gear up for a face-off against the Mavericks on Christmas Day, and Booker is far from disheartened at the team’s present state.”But it always feels better when we all get back together and get in the gym and start cleaning things up.” The 27-year-old also highlighted the elite superstars in the team with Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal along with a championship coach like Frank Vogel are all they need to ensure their good results.

At this point in the season, it is obvious that the major issue hampering the Suns’ performance is the consistent unavailability of star players in the lineup due to various injuries. For instance, Bradley Beal has appeared in only six games so far. To make matters worse, he will be out for two weeks following an ankle injury on 15th December.
