The Timberwolves are heading into Chase Center tied 1-1, and if you think they’re about to blink just because Stephen Curry and the Warriors are waiting — think again. The big question? Is Anthony Edwards playing after tweaking that ankle in Game 2?

Yeah, he’s playing. No suspense, no drama. Ant’s active and starting. Write it down.

The ankle scare in Game 2 was real, though. Edwards rolled it trying to contest a layup, limped off, got checked out — and then came right back and did what he always does: compete. He finished with 20 points, 9 boards, 5 dimes, 3 steals, a block, and a +21 in 36 minutes. That’s not a fluke. That’s who he is.

Chris Finch didn’t sugarcoat it post-game either. “This one, I was really worried about, actually,” the head coach said. “I was really planning on not seeing him the rest of the game.” But Ant had other plans. After a quick tape job and some sideline work from the medical staff, he returned and dropped 13 of his 20 points in the second half, leading all players in plus-minus.

Anthony Edwards himself made it sound like a non-issue. “I’m feeling great,” he said. ESPN’s Shams Charania also reported that Ant will continue to play through it — no minutes restriction, no drama, and crucially, no appearance on the injury report for Game 3. So that’s that.

So yeah, Minnesota’s main guy is suiting up. And that matters.

One minor note for the rotation: rookie guard Rob Dillingham is listed as questionable with a left ankle issue. He hasn’t played big minutes in the postseason, but it’s something to keep an eye on if Minnesota has to go deeper into the bench.

Timberwolves Depth Chart- Game 3 vs Warriors

Minnesota’s depth has quietly become one of its biggest strengths — and it’s about to be tested. With Rob Dillingham dealing with an ankle issue and the Warriors trying to throw every combo imaginable to slow things down, Chris Finch might need to shuffle lineups on the fly. This ain’t just another playoff game. Game 3 is where momentum shifts and rotations tighten. If Minnesota snags this one, they take back home-court and suddenly it’s the Warriors scrambling. Without Curry, Golden State has to manufacture offense in ways they’re clearly not comfortable with — and that’s not easy against this Wolves defense.

Anthony Edwards doesn’t need to go full 40-piece mode tonight, but if he’s moving well and getting downhill, the Warriors are in trouble. The Wolves have the size, defense, and shot creation to control this game — now it’s about execution. Game 3 is right there for the taking.
