“Thankful to say the least! We are so excited to announce our newest little miracle that we never could have imagined,” wrote Stephen Curry’s sister in the caption of a video. In it, she held her baby bump as the family of four stood in front of a Christmas tree. Since she announced her 3rd child last year, Sydel Curry-Lee has continued to update her followers about the progress.

Now, with the season journey of all 3 players having come to an end, the 30-year-old had a brand new update for Warrriors’ fans.

The post featured a professional photoshoot with her baby bump, and marked just how far she has come in her journey thus far. Sydel exuded nothing but class and grace in her pictures, elegantly cradling her bump, with the caption, “Mother x3.”

Within 14 hours of being published, the post received over 19,000 likes and 194 comments. Amongst those who left the likes were Stephen Curry himself, Ayesha Curry, Draymond Green’s wife, Hazel Renee, and Menna Harris, aka niece of former Vice-President Kamala Harris. Others, however, chose to express their love in a few more words.

Cameron Brink, WNBA star and the Curry clan’s god sister, Cameron Brink, was amongst the first people to react. She wrote, “these are perfection ❤️❤️❤️”. Viewers would also find a comment by McKenzie Caldwell-Pope, wife of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who wrote “Beautiful ❤️”.

Others who commented on the post included Callie Curry, Seth Curry’s wife, Sydel’s sister-in-law, and the daughter of NBA coach Doc Rivers. All she wrote was “stunnnnnning”, perhaps because not much else was needed to be said about the beautiful post.

It would have been a surprise if Cameron Brink had not reacted at all. After all, she was and continues to be a close member of the Curry family. Furthermore, she and Sydel also recently launched their own podcast, ‘Straight to Cam’. The duo had hosted Damion Lee in one of the episodes, which led to the couple clarifying that they started dating before Lee had become Stephen Curry’s Warriors teammate. Brink has continued being a part of the journey as her new god-nephew, or god-niece, prepares to enter the world.

Sydel’s post was certainly needed at a time like this. After all, it was only a few hours ago when the Golden State Warriors got eliminated from the NBA playoffs. The hype around the Warriors securing another championship ring returned in February of this year, when the team acquired Jimmy Butler. After all, the Warriors were able to go up from the 11th seed to the play-in, then the playoffs, and then defeated the Houston Rockets in Game 7 to enter the 2nd round of the postseason.

Unfortunately, Stephen Curry sustained the first hamstring injury of his NBA career during Game 1 of the Warriors-Timberwolves series. In his absence, Jimmy Butler was not enough to carry the offensive effort, and the team paid the price by losing all 4 games against Anthony Edwards and co.

Therefore, in an environment of gloom, one needs a smile. For Curry, amongst the things that could have instantly brought a smile was seeing his sister’s photoshoot. Sydel’s post was also more than a happy update. It was also a message that the expecting mother and father are openly welcoming this new chapter in their life, despite the initial hesitance.

Sydel Curry-Lee and Damion Lee weren’t sure about Baby No. 3 amid infertility struggles

Things weren’t always easy for Stephen Curry’s sister and brother-in-law. They had their 2nd born, Daryn, was conceived via IVF. After that, Sydel revealed having given up on the idea of a 3rd child. Therefore, it was certainly a surprise for both her and Damion Lee when she found out she was pregnant again. Their 3rd child was a ‘miracle baby’ indeed, but his/her sudden appearance certainly startled the couple initially.

“Um, it took me a while to get used to the idea. I don’t know if I actually said it on here but we were very much done having kids and so yeah it was a journey to getting used to the idea of getting outnumbered and having three,” Sydel revealed. “It just makes it feel real when you announce it to the world, But yeah it’s a freaking crazy. When you go from being told like yeah you can’t have kids naturally, you have two kids already through fertility help and then you’re here”.

It wasn’t too long ago when Daryn was born. As Sydel revealed, she had just started feeling like herself again, had just stopped breastfeeding, and had gotten back into her desired body shape. She also revealed that “I was making plans, like for my career”. However, as Damion Lee revealed, it was “just gonna take her some time to process, that’s all.”
