Shams Charania’s news may have been enough to get Milwaukee fans anxious. Following two straight first-round eliminations, Giannis Antetokounmpo is dabbling with his options. The 12-year veteran forward has one aim for his career—a franchise that shares his strong desire to win. While the offseason will decide how he feels about his next move in the coming months, ‘The Greek Freak’ might have shared his last message with Milwaukee.
It’s customary for Giannis Antetokounmpo to share a few end-of-season moments on his social media. So he took to Instagram, sharing some of his favorite memories and unseen practice images from the season. “Year 12 in the books,” he captioned the Instagram post. Bucks fans used the comments as a medium to share their thoughts.
A range of reactions came through. Some pleaded with the two-time MVP to remain with the Bucks and add to his stellar legacy. Another set of Milwaukee fans, though, wanted to see Giannis Antetokounmpo happy. If that means he can satisfy his competitive edge elsewhere, they are willing to see their franchise star leave.

In hindsight, the breathtaking forward delivered on his promise when he arrived as a scrawny rookie from Greece. He wished to alter the history of the franchise forever. He looked up at Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s retired jersey, wishing his name could be beside him in the rafters. Having broken their championship drought, set records for the franchise, and given the fanbase hope, Giannis Antetokounmpo has definitely earned a place among the greats.

And while his future is still undetermined, the NBA Top 75 member might be ready to test a new team culture. Several teams have already decided to chase the stunning forward in the offseason. But there’s one team that has a major upper hand.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Giannis Antetokounmpo's time in Milwaukee over, or can the Bucks reignite his championship dreams?

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry together?
Even though Giannis Antetokounmpo could want to leave, the Bucks’ prize tag won’t be cheap. Several teams have those necessary resources. Think about the Dallas Mavericks. In spite of having 1.8% odds going into the lottery, they have the rights to the number one pick. It is a blind pick for Cooper Flagg, a prospect foreseen as a future NBA star.
For a rebuilding team like the Bucks, the potential of making Flagg their cornerstone sounds intriguing. Although that depends on the Mavericks continuing to make some bold decisions. There are still others who can package several picks alongside a star to tempt the Bucks to part ways with Antetokounmpo.

But if it comes down to personal choice, the franchise might respect the Greek Freak’s wishes (much like the Trail Blazers parted ways with Lillard). And a special connection with Stephen Curry is making the Bay a popular destination for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
With the All-Star weekend being hosted in San Francisco this season, Stephen Curry held a party for all the players. Expectedly, many Warriors players showed up to celebrate the festivities. But aside from Giannis Antetokounmpo, no other NBA player was present at the party.
It shows how much Antetokounmpo admires Curry. But The Athletic made another interesting observation that could fuel the rumors.

“Giannis and Steph, it should be noted, are both represented by the same Octagon agency. Still, it was a Warriors-centric event with one notable, and very large, exception. And while Golden State is deeply invested in its Jimmy Butler era at the moment, the reality about a player like Antetokounmpo is that his greatness could compel nearly every owner and GM in the league to adjust their plan,” they mentioned.
A force such as Antetokounmpo can elevate any team to its peak. If the Warriors join hands with Giannis, not only does their title window increase by a few years, but their chances of successfully cashing in also multiply.
