Game 6 was a huge triumph for the Denver Nuggets at home, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder by 12 points. Nikola Jokic had a huge, near-30-point game with 29 points and 14 rebounds. He was 2 dimes shy of a triple-double. Even Julian Strawther got in on the action, going 75% from beyond the arc and earning praise from the legendary Isiah Thomas on national TV. But one teammate of theirs outshone them — it was Jamal Murray.
Friday night, with elimination on the horizon for the Nuggets, Murray invoked the legendary Michael Jordan as he put in a shift for the Nuggets despite battling the flu. And the hustle paid off as the Nuggets were able to force Game 7 in this series. But that begs the question — will Jamal be okay to play in that game? Well, let’s find that out by looking at the Nuggets’ injury report. Spoiler alert — he may be motivated by revenge to appear in this game.

Denver Nuggets injury report – Will Jamal Murray play in Game 7?
Jamal was asked after last night’s game whether there was any doubt in his mind about him playing Game 6. “No, I woke up feeling it, went to the clinic, and got tested for a couple of different things. It was negative, so I’m happy about that,” said Jamal.
But what if he received test results that weren’t as favorable? Well, that would’ve changed nothing. “But I was always gonna play in my mind. I’m glad we got the win and gave ourselves some life and a chance to win the series,” Murray revealed. Considering his attitude, it’s reasonable to assume that he will play in Game 7 even if his flu symptoms linger.

And assuming is all we can do because the Nuggets haven’t yet submitted an injury report. But someone as dedicated to his team as the Canadian sensation will never fail to show up to show when his team is staring down the top seed of this year’s Western Conference in an elimination game.
But what about the game itself? Do the Nuggets have what it takes to get to the Western Conference Finals? After all, it’s their opportunity to avenge last year’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves!

The Nuggets can finally have their revenge on the Timberwolves, but only if they win Game 7
Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves bounced the Denver Nuggets in a gruelling 7-game series last year. It was quite the disappointment for the Nuggets as they lost out on their chance to repeat as champions. This year, they have the opportunity to take revenge.
But the road to revenge goes through Oklahoma. And if we know one thing about the Thunder, it’s that they’re not easy to beat. And it’s even more difficult to beat them back-to-back. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and co have only lost consecutive games twice this season — once in November and then nearly 5 months later in early April.

So it kind of goes without saying that beating them on Sunday will be a lot like filing your first tax return — difficult but doable. Ultimately, it may pan out in a way that the MVP candidates’ brilliance cancels each other out. And that will mean players like Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon will need to step up massively.
