Whenever a child dreams of playing in the NBA, he not only sacrifices a lot to get into the league. Often, it’s their mothers who support their sons’ dreams and make greater sacrifices. We all remember Kevin Durant’s iconic MVP-winning speech, where he thanked his mother for everything she did for him. Well, today is the day we celebrate the most important women in our lives. The entire world is celebrating Mother’s Day by paying tribute to their moms. So, how could the NBA world be left behind? Especially LeBron James?
Indeed, he wasn’t left behind as the Lakers’ superstar took to Instagram to wish his mother, Gloria Marie James. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing and beautiful moms out there!” James wrote on his Instagram story with a family photo from his childhood attached. The 40-year-old Los Angeles star showed his love and appreciation for his mother while he echoed the sentiments of millions of fans around the globe. James shares a close-knit bond with his mother Gloria, who had James when she was just sixteen.
However, despite facing immense challenges throughout her lifetime, she built the foundation on which the Lakers’ superstar has built his empire. She not only helped LeBron James become the player he is today, but also instilled the values of hard work and dedication, for which he is forever grateful to his mother. She has been LeBron’s biggest supporter and a constant presence in her son’s games. Just recently, James shared a wholesome moment the mom and son duo shared on the sidelines, dating 25 years apart.

The 27-year-old Boston forward shared a lovely post on his Instagram account, posted by the Players Tribune. In the post, there were a couple of photos from Tatum’s childhood, where he’s seen cherishing the moments with her mother, Brandy Cole.

My mistake, we did it.” The Cs star showcased his appreciation for his mother as he thanked her for putting food on the table and making sure he had a roof over his head. To conclude, he also congratulated his mother for making it, as the mother and son now enjoy the fruits of their hard work. The NBA players might be the MVPs on the court, but mothers are the MVPs of our lives. This was yet again shown by another NBA star, this time Stephen Curry’s brother, Seth Curry, who wished his wife by saying, “Happy Mother’s Day! We Love You.” The 34-year-old Hornets star wished his wife Callie Rivers, on this heartwarming occasion. Overall, it is great seeing mothers get this much recognition, as they are often the ones who sacrifice so much, but their efforts go unnoticed by the world.
