A new James is making waves in the hoops world. Bryce James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, is following in the footsteps of his father. Bryce, who’s known for his humor, is now hitting strides in his basketball career, and he’s doing so with the support of his family. The 17-year-old shooting guard recently made news after committing to the University of Arizona to tip off his college basketball career. This move was backed by his parents, LeBron and Savannah James.
Bryce revealed his choice on New Year’s Day earlier this year as he selected the Wildcats over offers from Ohio State and Duquesne. Now, the 6-foot-4 guard, who was a three-star prospect and ranked as the 47th best shooting guard in the country, has started his journey in Tucson. This decision adds another exciting chapter to the James family’s basketball legacy. And Savannah, being the ever-so-proud and supportive mother, could not control her emotions as she wrote a heartfelt caption for her son.
“Yesterday we celebrated @_justbryce as he walks into a new chapter of life!! 🎓✨So proud of you and all the hard work you’ve done to get to this point. This is only the beginning! Keep striving to be the absolute best version of you! Love you more than words can explain, and so excited to see what the future has for you!! I love you, Stink!!” Savannah James wrote in the caption of a beautiful carousel she posted on Instagram.

This conversation took an interesting turn as Savannah James revealed how she handled things with her children, especially her two sons: Bronny and Bryce. LeBron James’ better half pointed out how she’s more focused on her kids finishing school and graduating rather than sports. “Obviously, I want the grades to be good, but I get it. We done. I’m done. I’mma be honest. My kids have always been—had good grades, but like, you know, they are athletes. They like to play. School is like, cause they got to go, so they did what they needed to do.” James said.
