The 38-year-old attended a Drake concert in Los Angeles at the CA Crypto.com Arena last night. There, he posted an Instagram story honoring his bond with Abloh. With a caption of “#RIPVirgil,” the Lobos owner indicated that it was a night he would have loved to spend with the designer.

The NBA superstar added a symbolic owl emoji as a tribute to his friend while capturing a giant statue of him in the story. That statue was unveiled by Drake just more than a month ago during his tour’s opening. The rapper did so to celebrate his friendship with the iconic artist.

Virgil Abloh passed away two years back reportedly due to cancer after a long fight with the disease. The world to date mourns the sudden loss of such a talent. LeBron James was no exception as he gave his flowers to his old friend and showed his softer side to the world.
